RED....
Out of all the colors of the rainbows you had to walk past me in this...
and now
Red has become my favorite color
not for the substance
or the vibrant electric feeling you get when you see it
but red now plays a song in my heart
Like when I saw you start to walk
across the parking lot
Coming to enter the door that behind I stood.
Red had the sun bouncing off your
red/yellow skin
If I didn't know your structure I would be lost
because you begin to blend in
Like a Cinnamon stick of gum
tingling the tongue of an innocent child
wanting to chew like an adult.
You burn my eyes
like a walking fire
flames coming from under that
Red next to you skin.
Every color of the rainbow came from the tips
of your lips
Meeting at your hips
where the shade may change.
To get close is too dangerous
but I come close anyway
and now Red is my favorite color.
I felt the warmth of the flames
as the Sparks begin to fly
before my very eyes
And I fell in love with a color.
Not some simple color like white and black
no, Red works magic
I felt the voodoo and the hoodoo
that had you
illuminated under the sun.
Red is powerful
like God parting the Red Sea
I was separated from me
and sanity.
I went wild when I saw you in Red
Normally colors that blend in
with the color of your skin
doesn't attract me
But today
I found Red to be the color
for me...
